      Cluster Flies (Musca autumnalis) and Cluster Fly Maggots can be a home owner’s nightmare. Not only do they infest homes and buildings, but they also infest livestock and pets. Cluster flies develop as grubs in the soil over the winter months and as soon as the soil warms up to more info about it 40 degrees they begin to mature into an adult fly. Cluster Flies are most active during the months of May through September, with the most activity occurring during June, July and August. The main sources of infestation is from manure and compost piles that were not removed prior to winter months.
